 OVERVIEW OF A2 COURSEWORK:

I've eagerly anticipated my A2 media studies course since first enrolling in the subject a year ago. This anticipation stems from the exciting project awaiting us this year—a music video production. Generally, music videos serve to promote an artist's music by weaving a narrative, employing unique visuals and colors to captivate the audience, and motivating them to engage with the music, ultimately prompting a purchase. Beyond sales, these videos also facilitate a deeper connection between the artist and the audience, allowing for a better understanding of the artist's thoughts and emotions. Music videos serve as a canvas for artists to fully express themselves, and I am thrilled about the prospect of creating one. While listening to a song, my mind instinctively conjures a music video, and now I have the opportunity to bring that vision to life. This year's project entails crafting a comprehensive music promotion package, encompassing a music video, a social media page, and a digipak.

Greetings, I'm Zainab Sajid, currently enrolled in media studies at Westminster International School. This blog serves as a component of my A2 portfolio. Initially drawn to media studies for its enjoyable practical aspects, my perspective has expanded significantly. Beyond the allure of video production, I've come to appreciate the multifaceted nature of this field. My childhood fascination with observing photographers has been a pivotal factor in my decision to pursue media studies.
